But I don't really see where in these definitions that the word is related to new... I don't know maybe one of you can tell me, IF anyone's reading this, but if no one is it's still cool. I'll just talk to myself. That's always fun, get to know myself a little better.
Well it's January 1st of the year 2010 and this starts off for many as a beginning but for me it's going to be a fresh continuation. Without going into a big elaborate explaination since this is just my 1st post, (we'll leave that for a later post).
This year I'm going to be me and use my head, AT ALL TIMES, no matter what, who, where, etc. The phrase Live & Learn comes to mind because I've been doing that but I haven't been doing it to its highest degree. Learn from my past mistakes; whether it be what happened three years ago, five months last Tuesday or yesterday.
I heard someone say this and someone I hold close to my heart vows by it. "...The person you were yesterday is not the same person you are today... You are continually growing..."
I think it's true. Well I'm going to go back to thinking and observing but first I want to leave you with this verse that means so much to me.
1 Corinthians 10: 13
For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not [b]adjusted and [c]adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to [d]a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.
Condensed Version: God doesn't give you more than you can handle.
It's a new year and I hope this one brings many, many blessings. I love you God and I'm giving you sincere apologies for each and every time I disobeyed you, each time I did something I knew I shouldn't have and had to deal with the consequences. I'm sorry for hurting people in my life even if it was unintentional. I'm sorry for not talking to you as much as I should have... I'm sorry for doubting and second thinking you power, mercy and grace. I thank you for keeping me through 2009 even through to the last second; physically, mentally, and spiritually. I thank you for that internship with the Miami International Film Festival. I thank you for getting me into school...!! It was long overdue and I just praise you for that because you know you were just preparing me for what was/is to come. You and I both know that Full Sail is yet another test, each and everyday is a new thing that I'm going to need Your help to get out of. Lol, you know that phrase, "The Devil is busy." ? lol, he is doing overtime and is trying to recruit people, it's either I join his team or tell him to fall back. I have You so I am perfectly fine, it might not be the finest of situations to go through because the devil is going to all up on me "disrupting my spirit" (:]) but I know in the end it will all be worth it.
I just want to focus on You.
I praise and glorify Your name for all the many, many blessings you have brought my life in 2009 and I am very appreciative. I know I could have done it without you. I thank you SO much. Thank you for your grace and your mercy.
Thank you for the angels on Earth you sent to help me through this whole thing called life, old and new.
We're all imperfect but we're perfect being us.
